About Us

Préval and Associates Counseling Services, LLC was founded on June 16, 2008 on the principles of delivering quality client care and reliable services. We are dedicated to helping our most valuable, delicate, and vulnerable population through therapeutic services aimed at satisfying individual needs. Our client centered approach gives us a competitive edge while making substantial impact in the lives of our clients. Our services range from supervised visitations to adoption home studies.

About Hervé

Hervé received his Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Psychology from Florida International University, in 2001. In 2003, he started to work for the Department of Children and Families in Miami Dade County. In 2005, he started to work for a non-profit Full Case Management agency under the umbrella of Our Kids of Miami Dade and Monroe County. In 2007, he received his Master's Degree (MS) in Psychology from Florida International University and obtained his license as a Mental Health Counselor (MH10717) in Florida, in 2011. Additionally, he is a Qualified Supervisor in Florida for Mental Health Counselor Interns. Hervé is licensed as a Professional Counselor in the state of Arizona (LPC-19541), Colorado (LPC.0016923) and Texas (LPC #85653). He is licensed as a Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maine (CC6060) and is also licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota (LPC 3464). He is a certified Adoption Competent Counselor and holds dual certification in Child Welfare in the state of Florida. Furthermore, Hervé is a certified telehealth practitioner (CTP100067). Hervé also holds a second Master's Degree (MBA) in Business Administration from Walden University that he completed in 2010. He is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Grand Canyon University in the Industrial and Organizational Psychology program.

He has worked for over 19 years in behavioral health and social services, to include working in the following positions: Family Services Counselor, Child Protective Investigator, Adoption Specialist, Lead Behavioral Analyst, Full Case Manager Supervisor, Family Case Management Field Director and Family Case Management Regional Director. His internship while in graduate school comprised of working as an Intern Therapist at Family Resource Center in the Substance Abuse Program from 2005 to 2011.

 

He has had extensive training in many different facets of the Child Welfare System, Behavioral and Mental Health System. To keep his licenses active and current, Hervé is required to take 30 to 55 hours of continuing education credit biennium.

He is also an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) since March 9, 2012.
