Description of Services

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy sessions last on average from 45 minutes to about one hour long. The sessions are held with one client and one therapist. This treatment modality is used with children, adolescents, or adults to work on various psychological difficulties. The psychological difficulties range from stress, anxiety, depression, addictions, phobias, and difficulty adjusting to life's changes and transitions.

Supervised Visitation

Supervised visitation provides an avenue for children to have and maintain a safe relationship with one or both parents. Supervised visitations are generally court ordered in cases dealing with divorce, domestic violence, or child abuse. During the visitation session the parent visits, plays, and socializes with the child as the parent would in an environment that is unsupervised.

Therapeutic Visitation

The therapeutic visitation just like the supervised visitation, provides a safe environment for families in crisis to maintain a relationship. The difference between the two is that a therapeutic visitation is conducted by a therapist who possesses at least a Masters degree. The therapist provides guidance to the parents in order to improve bond and attachments. The therapist also provides a safe and non-judgmental environment that encourages children to express their concerns and feelings. The therapist interacts with all involve parties prior, during, and after the visit to prevent further damage and to assist in healing the relationship.

Adoption Home Study

An adoption home study is an important and vital piece of the adoption process. The adoption home study is a detailed report compiled of relevant information that will assist in determining family suitability to adopt, and adequate match between the family and child(ren). All families are required to have a completed home study prior to any adoption placement. The adoption home study may include the following information/documents:
  • Orientation (Description of home study process)

  • Marriage Certificate/Divorce Decree
  • Affidavit of Good Moral Character
